First time here and the food and staff did not disappoint everything was amazing I dont give 5 stars often but we'll worth it here absolutely must recommend if you are looking for breakfast as its all we tried so far but will be coming back
Apparently, to eat here, you need to be at least 70 years old or have a secret handshake I wasn’t taught at the town meeting. My wife, toddler and I sat down, got our drinks, and then promptly phased out of this dimension. Two groups of regulars walked in after us, were greeted by name, and had their orders taken before we could even make eye contact with a human being. I actually had to check my own pulse to see if I died in the parking lot and was just haunting the booth. It’s a real bummer because we live right here in Newville and were looking for a 'home' spot. I guess we’ll just stay in the shadow realm until we age another four decades and learn the secret password. Maybe we'll try again at a later date. Much later ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Try to get there before rush hour breakfast! Lovely and kind servers. Tasty and typical American diner with a homey feeling. Lots of people knew each other for the small town feel
We absolutely loved stopping at Theo’s for breakfast. It’s exactly what a local diner should be—warm, welcoming, and great food. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel like a regular the moment we walked through the door. The homemade creamed chipped beef was the real standout. It’s savory, hearty, and clearly made from scratch—easily some of the best I’ve had in the area. The portions were generous and the service was quick. If you’re looking for a great meal and a friendly atmosphere in Newville, this is the place to go!
Great little local diner, in a very small town. We travel to Newville from the midwest, we were very happy to see that there was a diner open in the wee small hours of the morning when we arrived. All of the diner classics are here, from omelettes to skillets to steak and eggs. Solid stuff, and we enjoyed everything we had. Coffee was good too. Service was great, and everything came out promptly. Bathrooms were a bit dirty, but certainly useable. We'll be back!
On a street corner, parking out back. Small place. Not busy but some tables were sitting dirty. Food was hot. Wish there was more to it though for the price.
Great little place! Their loaded potato soup was delicious and extra warm! I had their Reuben which was also very good! The sweet little waitress sold the hubby on their bbq chicken melt and he was not disappointed! If you’re in the area stop by and have yourself a great meal at a decent price!
Had a wonderful lunch at a new restaurant in Newville. My wife had chicken fingers and I had the horseradish cheeseburger. Finished off with peanut butter pie. We will be back thumbs up to everyone service and the food was great. Started off with fried pickles
